OUR HISTORY
Perseverance, discipline, and passion—these are just a few of the values that Francesco, Alessandra, Alessio, and Rachele live by.
Francesco’s journey into Muay Thai began unexpectedly while training Kung Fu with his son, Alessio. The two discovered Muay Thai’s rich tradition and spiritual depth, and it was love at first punch. “It’s a complete martial art, with philosophy and spirituality,” Francesco often says. Inspired by this newfound passion, the pair traveled to Thailand, where they trained under legendary champions and eventually found themselves fighting for Buakaw’s gym.
Fast forward to 2025, and the Malatesta family has cemented their place in the world of Muay Thai. Francesco is now a professional trainer, shaping the next generation of fighters with wisdom and experience. Alessio has reached the pinnacle of his career, climbing to the top of the rankings and fighting for ONE Championship. Rachele, their youngest daughter, is a rising Muay Thai star, already competing professionally at just 17 years old. Meanwhile, Alessandra—Francesco’s wife and the heart of the family—manages the gym, teaches yoga, and supports her loved ones, helping them secure major fights at prestigious Thai stadiums like Rajadamnern and Lumpinee.
It’s been a decade since the Malatesta family first started teaching Muay Thai. In that time, they’ve shared not just the martial art itself, but its culture and philosophy with hundreds of students—beginners and pros alike. There are countless stories of transformation: young boys once at risk of losing their way now finding focus and purpose, and office workers uncovering new strengths and resilience in themselves.
For the Malatestas, Muay Thai is more than just a sport—it’s a way of life. And through it, they’ve built not only a thriving gym, but a legacy of passion, dedication, and family that continues to inspire everyone they touch.
